Might I suggest you breeze over to this site?

A teen from Oregon has written an original song and made a music video based on Laurie Halse Anderson's book Chains.

I love this kind of bookish enthusiasm.

Just a Little Note

That's it! I've had it with rr8004 leaving 80 spam comments in a day for me to delete. So I'm sorry, but because there's no way I know of to block a persistent spammer, I've turned on word verification again.

Shop at Powell's

Nearly all of my book links on my blog will link to Powell's because I love Powell's, and because they are an independent bookseller with a huge web presence and selection. If you're ever in the Portland (Oregon) area, I highly recommend stopping by to check out their City of Books store. (And yes, these are affiliate links; I receive a little store credit if you buy by clicking through my site.)

What I Mean When I Say...

Light = not to be taken too seriously; this is could be positive or negative

Fast = I was on page 100 before I realized it/I totally lost track of time

Fluffy = light, with little or no substance (most chick lit will be called fluffy), but generally fun/entertaining

Warm = makes you feel all happy & glowy inside

YA = young adult (intended for, roughly, ages 10-14)

Teen = recommended for ages 14+; contains more mature subject matter or a lot of profanity.
